No Road Tax
A vehicle with expired road tax and no SORN declaration is technically in breach of continuous registration rules. However, this does not prevent scrapping. Our car scrappers process the vehicle normally and the DVLA notification resolves the registration gap. You may receive a late licensing penalty from DVLA, but this is separate from the scrapping process.
No MOT
An expired MOT has no impact on your ability to scrap a car. Many vehicles we collect have failed their last MOT and were never retested. You cannot legally drive a car without a valid MOT, but our free collection service means it does not need to be driven — we load it onto our truck at your location.
Lost V5C
If you have lost the V5C registration certificate, you can still scrap the vehicle. You will need to provide photo identification and proof of address matching DVLA records.
